Richard Mockler

Richard Mockler has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Richard is currently a Board Member at the Highline College Foundation, where they support students and the community through scholarships and programming to improve access to higher education. Prior to this, Richard served as the Chief Strategy Officer (interim) at Lyssn, where they utilized AI technology to provide quality improvement for health coaching and clinical interactions. Richard also co-owned Marina Mercantile, a specialty food and beverage store that offered a curated selection of products to customers in Des Moines, WA.

Richard has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, having worked as an Advisor and Investor at LTW Advisors, providing consulting services to companies focused on behavioral health and inclusive healthcare solutions. Richard also held the role of SVP/Growth Officer at Sanvello Health, where they led revenue development and secured contracts with major payers.

Earlier in their career, Richard served as a Senior Advisor at UnitedHealth Group Ventures and held various roles at Optum and OptumHealth, including SVP of New Markets and Innovation and Chief of Staff. Richard also worked as the Chief of Staff for the Public Sector at OptumHealth.

Before transitioning into healthcare, Richard worked as the Director of Strategy and Marketing at Tajima Creative and co-founded and acted as Principal at MCPP Healthcare Consulting.

Throughout their career, Richard has demonstrated a passion for healthcare innovation, behavioral health, and improving access to quality education.

Richard Mockler completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, Philosophy, and French at the University of Montana from 1980 to 1986. Afterward, they pursued further education at the Harvard Kennedy School, where they obtained a Master's degree in Public Policy between 1986 and 1988.
