Zac Imel

Zac Imel's work experience includes various roles in academia and research. Zac started their career in 2008 as a Clinical Psychology Intern at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where they also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow. In 2009, they became an Acting Instructor at the University of Washington - School of Medicine. In 2011, they joined the University of Utah as an Assistant Professor and later became an Associate Professor. Zac currently holds the position of Professor at the University of Utah. In 2017, Zac Imel also served as the Chief Science Officer at LYSSN.io.

Zac Imel has an extensive education history in the field of psychology and counseling. Zac began their academic journey at Westminster College (MO) from 1997 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology and Religious Studies.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Zac pursued further education at the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2001 to 2003. During this time, they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Counseling Psychology.

Continuing their pursuit of knowledge, Zac attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2003 to 2009. Zac successfully completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Counseling Psychology, cementing their expertise in the field.

Furthermore, Zac Imel has augmented their educational background with additional certifications. In November 2020, they obtained certification in "Innovation to Impact Substance Use Entrepreneurship Training" from Innovation to Impact at Yale. This certification likely enhances their knowledge and skills in addressing substance use issues with an entrepreneurial approach.
