Cem Akatay is a seasoned materials researcher currently serving as the Manager of the Electron Microscopy Group and Staff Scientist at Lyten since October 2022. Previously, Cem held various positions at Honeywell from January 2014 to September 2022, including Lead Scientist and Senior Research Scientist roles, focused on advanced electron microscopy techniques for materials research and catalyst development. Cem obtained a PhD in Materials Engineering from Purdue University, where a Graduate Research Assistant position was held from August 2009 to December 2013. Prior educational experiences include a Bachelor's in Materials Science and Engineering from Sabanci University and an exchange program in Chemistry at the Technical University of Munich.
