Vebjorn Nilsen

Vebjorn "BJ" Nilsen, Ph.D., serves as the Principal Computational Physicist at Lyten since August 2021, focusing on multi-physics calculations and simulations for graphene reactor development. Prior to this role, Nilsen founded Valhalla Numerics, LLC, providing consulting services in multi-physics simulations for the semiconductor industry. Experience includes serving as Senior Technical Advisor at Halliburton, where expertise in CFD and probability analysis enhanced the design of fluid systems, and as Senior Principal CFD Consultant at DNV GL, establishing a CFD center for gas dispersion and fire simulations. Previous positions encompass leadership roles at ComputIT AS and CFD Norway AS, emphasizing customer relations, project delivery, and corporate management. Nilsen holds a PhD and Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, along with a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech University.
