Jarkko Rouvinen

Jarkko Rouvinen has extensive work experience in the software development field. Jarkko is currently working at M-Files as the Senior Director of Software Development since November 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as the Director of Software Development at M-Files from November 2021 to November 2022.

Before joining M-Files, Jarkko Rouvinen worked at OpusCapita where they held the position of Head of R&D from November 2020 to November 2021. Jarkko also served as the R&D Manager at OpusCapita from October 2019 to November 2020. As an R&D Manager, their responsibilities included leading a software development team, improving team predictability and capacity, and developing team culture. Jarkko utilized technologies such as microservice architecture, open-source solutions, Node.js, and React.

Prior to OpusCapita, Jarkko Rouvinen worked at Visma for a significant period. Jarkko held the role of Development Manager from November 2014 to October 2019. Jarkko'smain responsibilities included leading seven R&D team managers and ensuring team performance and job satisfaction. Jarkko also served as a Team Manager at Visma where they led the development of a new cloud service/application and transformed the development process and organizational culture. Jarkko started their journey at Visma as a Project Manager and later transitioned into a Team Manager role for a small-medium business segmented ERP system.

Jarkko Rouvinen commenced their career at Tieto as a Software Engineer in September 2004. Jarkko then worked as a Project Manager, gaining experience in telecom projects and stakeholder cooperation, customer negotiations, and project team work.

Overall, Jarkko Rouvinen has held various leadership positions in software development, demonstrating expertise in team management, process improvement, and technology implementation.

Jarkko Rouvinen completed their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Software Engineering from Joensuun yliopisto, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. In addition to their formal education, Jarkko has obtained several certifications. In 2007, they became a ScrumMaster through Scrum Alliance. In 2013, they obtained the XBRL Foundation certification from ITpreneurs. More recently, in 2019, Jarkko completed the Elements of AI certification from the University of Helsinki.
