Jouni Viikari

Jouni Viikari has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Jouni started their career as a Software Engineer at Acta Print Oy in 1986, where they set up PCs and LAN for inventory management and implemented tender calculation software. Jouni then served as the CEO of Oy Montreal-Urheilu from 1987 to 1997.

From 1999 to 2002, Jouni worked at Nokia Networks as a Design Engineer, maintaining a C++ based unix daemon and leading architecture design and implementation. Jouni later joined VIP Tietoverkot Oy in 2000 as the CEO and Technical Manager, handling general and financial management as well as server administration using various programming languages and scripts.

Jouni then transitioned to Nokia in 2004, where they held various roles such as Senior SW Specialist and Principal Engineer. Their responsibilities included working with a wide range of subsystems, maintaining servers, and implementing multithreaded servers using different platforms.

In 2014, after the acquisition of Nokia's devices & services business, Jouni's work continued at Microsoft Devices Group as a Senior Software Engineer. Jouni was involved in C++ based server development and implementation of production tester core and libraries.

Jouni's most recent work experience is at M-Files Corporation, where they started in 2016 as a Senior Software Engineer. Their role focused on software development in their content management system, both on-prem and in the cloud.

Throughout their career, Jouni has gained expertise in various programming languages, technologies, and platforms, specializing in embedded software, server development, and content management systems.

Jouni Viikari completed their education from 1982 to 1986 at the Tampere University of Technology, which was active from 1965 to 2018. Jouni obtained a M.Sc. (eng) degree in Computer Science during this period.
