Laura Pakarinen Duran has a diverse education history. In 2008, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Laura then pursued a Master's Degree in Global Studies at Roskilde University from 2010 to 2011. Following that, they attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2011 to 2012, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Economic History.

In order to enhance their language proficiency, Laura also pursued additional language certifications. In 2013, they completed a Swedish as a second language certificate (Svenska som andra språk) at Stockholm University. To further strengthen their Swedish language skills, they obtained a certificate of Swedish Language Proficiency from Stockholms intensivsvenska för akademiker between 2013 and 2014.
