Margarita Baltakiene

Margarita Baltakiene started their work experience as a Provisioning Analyst at Barclays in 2010. Margarita then went on to work as a Java Developer, System Analyst, Application Management Specialist, and Business Analyst at Barclays. In 2017, they joined Tampere University of Technology as a Researcher. In 2018, they became a Doctoral Researcher at Tampere University, and in 2020, they worked as a Visiting Researcher at Aarhus University. Margarita is currently employed as a Software Engineer at M-Files.

Margarita Baltakiene has achieved an extensive education history. Margarita completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Data Science and Statistical Data Analysis at Tampere University from 2018 to 2022. Before that, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science and Business Informatics from Università di Pisa, studying from 2015 to 2017. Margarita also participated in an Erasmus+ Traineeship in Computer Science at Tampere University of Technology in 2017. As for their undergraduate studies, Margarita earned a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Financial and Actuarial Mathematics from Vilniaus universitetas / Vilnius University, graduating from 2006 to 2010. During their time at Vilnius University, they engaged in an Erasmus student exchange program at Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, focusing on Statistics and Informatics in 2009-2010. In addition to their formal education, Margarita has earned several certifications, including Introduction to Machine Learning with TensorFlow Nanodegree from Udacity in June 2021, Android Developer Nanodegree from Udacity in July 2018, Android Basics Nanodegree by Google from Udacity in July 2017, Oracle Certified Professional for Java EE 5 Web Component Developer from Oracle in December 2012, and Oracle Certified Professional for Java SE 6 Programmer from Oracle in August 2011.
