Martin Young is the Managing Director at M-III Partners. Martin has also previously worked as Chief Restructuring Officer at IAP Worldwide Services and at Buckle.

Martin has extensive experience in advising companies on successful debt-for-equity conversions. Martin assisted the new owners of IAP Worldwide in the selection of a new board of directors and management team to execute a transformative shift of strategy. Within 120 days, the team proved that the investment thesis was correct by reversing declines and returning to profitability.

IAP improved cash on hand by over 500%, thereby avoiding the need for a cash infusion from the new owners. EBITDA has nearly doubled from earlier forecasts. IAP is well positioned for continued success with a 3-year business plan showing EBITDA growing 100%. Turnarounds and Workouts recognized IAP as one of the few 2014 Successful Restructuring transactions of its size.

Martin’s experience and successes at IAP Worldwide Services have positioned him well to take on the role of Managing Director at M-III Partners.

Martin Young has a BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point, an MS in Operations Research from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and an MBA in finance, banking, and management from NYU Stern School of Business. Martin also has an MDiv in urban ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, a ThM in biblical theology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a DMin in workplace theology, ethics, and leadership from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Additionally, they have completed the Command and General Staff Officer Common Core Course from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. Martin also has certification from the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (AIRA) as a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA), certification from the Turnaround Management Association as a Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP), insurance producer license from the Pennsylvania Insurance Department, and Series 63 and 79 certification from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

They work with Eric De Santis - Director, Charles Garner - Managing Director & General Counsel, and Peter Cureton - Managing Director. Martin Young reports to Mohsin Meghji, Managing Partner.
