Graeme Malcolm OBE

Graeme Malcolm OBE has a long and successful career in the field of solid-state lasers and photonics applications. Graeme began their career in 1992 as the Managing Director and Founder of Microlase Optical Systems Ltd. In 2000, they moved to Coherent Scotland Ltd / Coherent Inc as the Managing Director. In 2005, they founded and grew a passionate team at M Squared Lasers, a Deloitte's Fast 50 high growth technology business. Graeme also held the role of Visiting Professor at the Institute of Photonics, University of Strathclyde.

Graeme Malcolm OBE attended Eastwood High School from 1980 to 1985. Graeme then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Laser Physics from 1985 to 1992 at the University of Strathclyde, while also completing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Solid State Lasers from 1985 to 1990.
