Marcus Bush, MRED, currently serves as Vice Mayor for the City of National City and is a Council Member with MAAC, focusing on affordable housing development. Previous roles include Project Manager for the City of San Diego and Policy Advisor on regional transportation and housing issues. Bush also has experience as a Community Planner with Rick Engineering Company and Mooney Planning Collaborative, Diversity/Inclusion Director for the APA San Diego, and Planning Commissioner for National City. Additional involvement includes membership on the Board of Directors for the National City Chamber of Commerce and internships with SANDAG and Community Housing Works. Bush earned a Master in Real Estate Development from Portland State University and holds degrees from Instituto de Cultura y Lengua Costarricense and San Diego State University.
