Shreya Sasaki

Secretary at MAAC PROJECT METROPOLITAN AREA ADVISORY COMMITTE

Shreya Sasaki is the current secretary at MAAC PROJECT METROPOLITAN AREA ADVISORY COMMITTE. Prior to this, they were the COO at Mission Driven Finance from January 2018 to June 2021. There, they oversaw Borrower Services, shaped company goals, established business processes, executed on talent development and management efforts. From an impact perspective, they helped advance economic opportunity by providing access to capital for nonprofits and small businesses, responded to COVID-19, freed individuals in immigration detention, and increased access to affordable housing.

Before Mission Driven Finance, Sasaki was the Director of Finance for Hospital and Health Plan Operations at Kaiser Permanente from March 2010 to December 2017. There, they were responsible for a $2.6B annual operating budget and $200M capital budget. Shreya also led a team of 30 financial analysts and accountants.

Sasaki started their career as the Senior Manager of Access to Health Care at Community Health Improvement Partners from December 2005 to February 2010. In this role, they worked with safety net providers, health plans, and community-based organizations to increase access to care for low-income populations.

Shreya Sasaki has a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health in Community Health Sciences and Health Policy and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics and Organizational Studies from the University of Michigan.
