Karimou

Karimou Ba is a seasoned technology and project management professional, currently serving as the Technical Project Director and Dakar Office Lead at IDinsight since August 2024. As a Non-Executive Co-Founder and Co-Founder/CTO at Maad since September 2019, Karimou has focused on tech-enabled distribution for fast-moving consumer goods and digital field force management. Previously, Karimou held the position of Program Manager in charge of Digital Economy at the Délégation Générale à l'Entreprenariat Rapide des Femmes et des Jeunes from October 2018 to September 2019 and founded DB Tech, creating wooden remote-controlled cars from March 2016 to September 2018. Earlier career experience includes a sabbatical year and multiple roles at Amadeus, focusing on product definition, as well as working as a Business Analyst at A.T. Kearney. Karimou Ba holds a Master of Engineering in IT and Embedded Systems from CentraleSupélec and completed studies at Lycée Louis-le-Grand and Lycée Thierno Saidou Nourou Tall.
