Essam Aboud

Essam Aboud is an accomplished geophysicist with extensive experience in both academia and research. Currently serving as a Principal Specialist at Maaden since August 2025, Essam Aboud focuses on translating R&D findings into strategies that enhance resource utilization and support mineral asset development. Previously, as a Professor at King Abdulaziz University from December 2010 to August 2025, Essam Aboud specialized in non-seismic geophysical methods. A significant research career began at the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics from May 1994 to December 2010, where Essam Aboud collected geospatial data and developed interpretation techniques for gravity and magnetic data. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Geophysics and Seismology from Kyushu University, alongside multiple degrees in Geophysics from Cairo University.
