Malik Aqel

Malik Aqel is an experienced professional in the phosphate and fertilizer industry, currently serving as Chief and Industrial Development Sr. Advisor at Ma'aden since June 2019. Prior experience includes roles as Project Technical Manager at Manaseer Fertilizer and Chemicals and Head of Phosphoric Acid Process Group at thyssenkrupp. Malik led a senior project development team at Qatar Petroleum International, focusing on integrated phosphate and nitrate projects in Algeria. Additional experience includes management of R&D programs at SABIC and technical project management at Arab Steel Fabrication. Malik holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Jordan and a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Liverpool.
