Sumaya Khan

Sumaya Khan serves as the Chief Specialist in Sustainability at Ma'aden, overseeing R&D studies in sustainability technologies and developing high-impact solutions for operational efficiency. With extensive experience in project management and engineering across various companies, Sumaya has held significant roles, including Senior Project Manager at Rheinmetall, where project oversight included a €170 million RDX Chemical Explosives Plant, and Senior Manager of Technical Services at Foskor, managing process engineering and continuous improvement. Sumaya's career began as a Process and Production Engineer, and educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kwazulu Natal, along with advanced project management degrees from Stellenbosch University and other institutions.
