Tonny Kabaso

Tonny Kabaso is an experienced geotechnical professional specializing in rock mechanics, currently serving as the Head of Rock Mechanics at Maaden since January 2018. Prior to this role, Tonny worked as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Metorex's Kinsenda Mine from October 2015 to December 2017 and held various engineering positions at Glencore Copper's Mopani Copper Mines from March 2011 to September 2015, including Geotechnical Engineer and Rock Mechanics Engineer. Tonny began the career as a Student Geotechnical Engineer at Konkola Copper Mine in early 2010. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Engineering, Mining, Rock Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining Engineering, Rock Mechanics from The Copperbelt University.
