Mary Menchon

Mary Menchon has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Mary'smost recent position was at Mabrian Technologies, where they served as the Spain, Portugal, and LATAM Business Development role starting in November 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Jet2.com and Jet2holidays as a Resort Customer Helper Menorca from July 2021 to October 2021. In May 2021, they briefly worked as a Teacher at the Instituto de Turismo de la Región de Murcia.

From 2017 to 2020, Mary worked at the Instituto de Turismo de la Región de Murcia as a Product Manager, responsible for Nature, Rural and Active Tourism, and Camping. Mary'sresponsibilities included coordinating familiarisation trips, attending fairs and events, and managing the Sierra Espuña Regional Park European Charter for Sustainable Tourism.

Before that, Mary worked at Premium Ingredients S.L. as an Operations Department Assistant Management from 2007 to 2015, with a focus on purchasing and management. Mary also worked at Polaris World as the Client Payment Division Manager from 2005 to 2007, overseeing payment management and resolving customer incidents.

Mary's career began in the tourism sector, working at Región de Murcia Turística as a Tourism Promoter from 2002 to 2003. Mary then pursued an internship at the Secretaría General de Turismo, based in the Iberia Airlines office in South Africa. Mary'srole involved promoting and commercializing Spain as a tourist destination for the South African market.

Prior to their work in the tourism industry, Mary gained experience as a Front Desk Receptionist at Bewleys Principal Hotel on Fleet St in 2000 and as a Tourist Entertainer at Animatur from 1997 to 1999.

Mary Menchon began their education journey in 1994 when they enrolled at the Murcia Official School of Tourism to pursue a degree in Tourism. Mary completed their degree in 1998. Taking a career diversion, Mary then studied at the Universidad de Murcia from 2003 to 2008 and obtained a Degree in Journalism. After a significant gap, Mary returned to education in 2018 and pursued an EU Master at the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. until 2023. In the meantime, they also completed a university course for professional training in continuous learning and adult education at Universidad Nebrija in 2021. Mary is currently pursuing a Grado en Traducción e Interpretación with a focus on Inglés at Universitat d'Alacant, a program they started in 2021 and is expected to complete in 2025. In terms of additional certifications, Mary obtained Proficiency in English from the University of Cambridge in June 2009, B1 level French certification from the Murcia Official School of Languages in September 2015, and recently received Capacitación Comercial from TEKAMS Mentoring School in June 2021.
