Josh Doerr, PE, CEM has a diverse work experience in the field of energy engineering. Josh started their career as a Building Mechanical Engineering Intern at CH2M Hill in 2007. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a Design Engineer at Balzhiser & Hubbard Engineers Inc. Josh then joined PSF Mechanical, Inc in 2010 as a Design Engineer. In 2011, they became an Application Engineer at Flow Control Industries. In 2015, they worked as an Energy Engineer at McKinstry for a short period before transitioning to the role of Energy Program Specialist at GSA. In 2020, they were promoted to Energy Program Manager at GSA. Currently, they hold the position of Smart Building Analyst at MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions, starting in 2023. Throughout their career, Josh has acquired skills and expertise in energy management and smart building technologies.

Josh Doerr, PE, CEM obtained their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) degree from Oregon State University, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Josh then pursued further education, earning a Master of Science in Civil Engineering (MSCE) degree with a specialization in Energy Modeling from Washington State University, which they completed in 2010.
