Hali Stafford

Distribution & Marketing Coordinator at MacGillivray Freeman Films

Hali is a Southern California native that is known by her close family and friends for being fiercely passionate about the ocean and conservation. She originally wanted to be a marine biologist, but life steered her towards her second passion instead: film-making. She graduated from California State University – Northridge with a B.A in Cinema & Television Arts, but couldn’t quite shake her desire to be involved with the scientific community so she has since been volunteering with various local conservation organizations including the Pacific Marine Mammal Center and Get Inspired to get her fix. As a visual learner herself, Hali strongly believes in the power of film as an educational tool and was absolutely thrilled at the opportunity to become a member of the MFF family. She joined our distribution and marketing team in 2022 and, when she isn’t working, Hali is either focusing on homework for her post-bacc degree in Fisheries, Wildlife & Conservation Sciences, SCUBA diving through kelp forests, doing volunteer fieldwork with a local marine scientist, or spending time with her loving fiancé and two cats.
