Dick Cheng

Dick Cheng is a cleared technical leader and Chief Technologist at MACH-20, LLC, where they provide hypersonic technology expertise to the U.S. Department of Defense. With over 20 years of experience in materials, hardware, and process development, they have earned 21 patents and are co-author of 19 peer-reviewed publications. Cheng possessed prior roles as a Materials Scientist at Strategic Analysis Incorporated and as a Science, Engineering, and Technology Advisor at DARPA, focusing on advanced materials and composites. They hold a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a B.S. from the University of Nevada-Reno.
