Mike Dean

Mike Dean has worked in a variety of roles since 2008. In 2008, they worked as a Telecommunicator for the Guilderland Police Department, where they assisted callers involved in both emergency and non-emergency situations, managed emergency units, and administered instructions to callers. In 2014, they worked as a Network Assistant for Pearson, where they imaged, prepared, maintained, and deployed PCs as well as other hardware and software, and assisted users with hardware and software issues. In 2015, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Hampshire College, and as an IT/EMS Intern and Data Architecture and Development Intern at ISO New England, where they implemented the organization's Software Development Life Cycle, developed, tested, and integrated Java and .NET applications in the Energy Management System, and assisted the Data Governance team in daily operations. Since 2016, they have worked for MachineMetrics, where they have held the roles of Software Engineering Manager, Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack Engineer, and Software Development Intern.

Mike Dean attended Hampshire College from 2014 to 2016, studying Computer Science. Mike then attended SUNY Schenectady County Community College from 2010 to 2013, studying Computer Science and Criminal Justice. In November 2019, they obtained an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
