David Zink

Founding Engineer at Machinify

David Zink has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. David started their career in 1985 at Prolifics (formerly JYACC), where they served as a Senior Development Manager and Senior Engineer. During their time there, they contributed significantly to the Panther project and eventually became the Director of Software Development.

After leaving Prolifics in 1998, Zink joined Baen Publishing Enterprises as a Reader for a short period. David then worked at Entera from 1999 to 2001 as a Senior Engineer.

In 2001, Zink moved to Cacheware as a Senior Server Architect. David later joined Fort Hill Systems (formerly CacheWare) in 2002 as a Senior Engineer, and then again in 2002, they served as a Senior Engineer at Fort Hill Systems.

In 2004, Zink joined PostPath as an Architect/Scientist/Senior Engineer, where they contributed to the development of a drop-in Exchange Server replacement. David became the chief architect and later transitioned into a researcher/scientist role.

Zink joined VUDU, Inc. in 2005 as a Senior Platform Architect. David played a crucial role in making things happen within the company.

In 2013, Zink took a sabbatical to explore new opportunities, and in 2014, they founded Machinify, Inc. where they served as a Founding Engineer, utilizing their skills in engineering and architecture.

David Zink attended the University of Michigan from 1980 to 1985, where they pursued a field of study in Mathematics. Although no degree was specified, they completed coursework and acquired knowledge in this subject during their time at the university.
