Jacqueline Latina

Jacqueline Latina MD, MS, FACC is a clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School since July 2024 and serves as a structural and interventional cardiologist at Mount Auburn Cambridge Independent Practice Association, Inc. (MACIPA) since July 2022. Prior experience includes fellowships in interventional cardiology and cardiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital from July 2017 to August 2022 and a prevention fellowship with the American Heart Association from July 2015 to June 2017. Jacqueline Latina completed a residency in internal medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital from July 2013 to June 2016 and earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Tufts University in 2013. Education also includes a Master's degree in Biostatistics from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Princeton University. Early academic contributions include serving as a chemistry teaching fellow at Phillips Academy from August 2008 to June 2009.

Mount Auburn Cambridge Independent Practice Association, Inc. (MACIPA)

MACIPA is a physician membership organization, established in 1985. Almost 500 primary care physicians and specialists who have privileges at Mount Auburn Hospital are members of MACIPA. Practice locations include Cambridge, Belmont, Watertown, Waltham, Somerville, Lexington, Arlington, Allston/Brighton. Newton, and Medford . MACIPA PCPs have approximately 250,000 patients enrolled in their practices. MACIPA’s accomplishments in controlling healthcare costs and improving quality are well known. MACIPA was chosen as one of the original participants in CMS’ Medicare Pioneer Contract and today participates in the Medicare Shared Savings’ Program. MACIPA was also selected as the first physician organization to participate in the Alternative Quality Contract. In conjunction with our physicians, MACIPA develops and manages programs in quality improvement, care management, population management, patient experience, health information exchange, and pharmacy. These initiatives lead to better health outcomes, reduction in hospital admissions, and better management of health care spending.
