John G. Hampton

John G Hampton currently serves as the Executive Director and CEO of MacKenzie Art Gallery, a position held since October 2018, and has also taken on the role of Director of Programs. Prior experience includes serving as Adjunct Curator and Curator in Residence at the Art Museum at the University of Toronto from September 2014 to August 2022, and as Executive Director at the Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba from July 2016 to September 2018. Additionally, John held the roles of Artistic Director and Interim Executive Director at Trinity Square Video from September 2013 to June 2016, and worked as a Curator at Neutral Ground Contemporary Art Forum from June 2010 to November 2013. Educational qualifications include a Master of Visual Studies in Curatorial Studies from the University of Toronto (2012-2014) and a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts from the University of Regina (2004-2009).
