Avinesh Sundar

Avinesh Sundar, CPA, CA, CFA has a diverse and extensive work experience in the financial industry. Avinesh started their career with Ernst & Young in 2008 as an Audit Manager, where they worked until 2013. Following this, they joined BMO Financial Group as an Audit Manager for Capital Markets from 2013 to 2016. Avinesh then moved to Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where they held various roles, including Vice President & Senior Audit Supervisor and Vice President of Corporate Audit for Global Banking & Markets from 2016 to 2018. Currently, Avinesh is working at Mackenzie Investments, initially as the Director of Internal Audit from 2018 to 2022, then as the Assistant Vice President Internal Audit from 2022 to 2023, and now as the Assistant Vice President of Investment Risk. Their professional expertise and positions reflect their strong leadership and risk management skills.

Avinesh Sundar, CPA, CA, CFA has a comprehensive education history. Avinesh obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management, where they studied from 2021 to 2023. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto in 2009, with a specialization in Accounting and Finance.

Avinesh also holds several certifications in the field. Avinesh is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), having obtained this certification from the CFA Institute in September 2019. Additionally, they are a Chartered Accountant (CA), having completed the necessary requirements from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants in November 2012. Avinesh is also recognized as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) by both the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) and the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada), having obtained these certifications in November 2012 as well.
