Stop Motion Animator at Mackinnon and Saunders Ltd.

Russell Hicks has extensive work experience as a Stop Motion Animator. Russell started their career in 2000 at Cosgrove Hall Films and worked there until 2008. Russell then joined Chapman Entertainment in 2009 and stayed there until 2012. In 2012, they joined Mackinnon and Saunders Ltd. as a Stop Motion Animator and worked there until 2018. Russell briefly worked at Aardman in 2017 and then returned to Mackinnon and Saunders Ltd. in 2022. Prior to joining Mackinnon and Saunders Ltd. again, they worked at Factory Create from 2018 to 2021. Overall, Russell Hicks has a strong background in stop motion animation, with experience in multiple companies throughout their career.

Russell Hicks has a diverse educational background with a focus on creative and media-related fields. Russell began their education in 1988 at Blackburn College of Art and Design, where they earned a BTec ND in Graphic Design. Russell then pursued further studies in the field of Television Production at Northumberland College from 1990 to 1992, completing a BTec HND. Continuing their passion for visual media, Hicks went on to attend Surrey Institute of Art and Design (now known as University for the Creative Arts) from 1994 to 1996, earning a BA (Hons) degree in Animation. Through their educational journey, Russell Hicks has developed a strong foundation in various artistic disciplines and media production.
