Scott McAlister has extensive leadership experience in the transport and logistics sector, currently serving as the Managing Director of Mackleys since April 1996. Under Scott's direction, Mackleys has established operations in Auckland, Christchurch, and Hamilton, focusing on addressing logistics challenges. In addition to this role, Scott has contributed to the sporting community as the Vice Chairman of the National Sport Committee for Surf Life Saving New Zealand since April 2018 and holds a directorship at NZ Ship since 2012. Scott's educational background includes a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Administration from the University of Canterbury and various advanced programs from the Institute of Directors in New Zealand, covering strategic essentials, finance essentials, and governance development, complemented by leadership training from Leadership New Zealand.
