Leon van der Linde

Leon Van Der Linde is an accomplished project manager with extensive experience in the mining industry, currently serving at Macmahon since July 2019 in various roles including Project Manager and Superintendent Technical Services. Previous roles include Senior Mining Engineer at Whitehaven Coal, and Senior Mining Engineer at Glencore, focusing on mine production planning and design. Additional experience includes positions at South32 as a Mining Optimisation Specialist and various roles at Glencore Coal, where Leon developed expertise as a Mining Engineer and Mine Overseer. Early career included training as a Marine Surveyor with SANDF. Leon holds a PMD from GIBS Business School, a Mine Managers Certificate of Competency in Coal from the Department of Minerals and Resources, and a B-Tech in Mining Engineering from the University of Johannesburg.
