Luis Cotua

Luis Cotua has a strong background in mechanical engineering and design. Luis is currently working as a Lead Mechanical Engineer at Macmahon. Prior to this, they held the same position at Metso Outotec from 2017 to 2021. Before that, they worked as a Design/Applications Engineer at Dexion Group from 2015 to 2017, where they produced designs and engineering calculations for material handling solutions. Luis also has experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Dematic from 2010 to 2014, where they designed material handling solutions and prepared technical quotations. Additionally, they worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Howden in 2012 and as a Mechanical/Structural Design Engineer at CIPCA from 2005 to 2009, where they developed design solutions and performed Finite Element Analysis.

Luis Cotua has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Nacional Experimental Politécnica 'Antonio José de Sucre'. Luis attended this university from 1999 to 2004. Prior to that, they studied Administration & Finance at IUTIRLA - Finance & Admin Tech - VENEZUELA from 1994 to 1997. In terms of certifications, Luis obtained the Mechanical Engineer ASCO 2126-11 certification from Engineers Australia in June 2007. Additionally, they received the Mechanical Engineer certification from the Venezuelan Engineers Collegue in November 2004.
