Mathew Turnbull

Mathew Turnbull is an experienced Electrical Engineer with a robust background in various roles spanning over a decade. Currently employed at Macmahon since May 2019, Mathew provides technical support to the shaft sinking team and oversees the full functional safety lifecycle, electrical design, PLC logic, and HMI changes, alongside commissioning activities. Previous positions include Senior Electrical Engineer at Oji Fibre Solutions, where Mathew was involved in maintenance and plant improvements at a paper mill, and Electrical Engineer at CITIC Pacific Mining, leading maintenance activities for the Sino Iron Project. Additional experience includes roles at Xstrata Nickel and Minara Resources, contributing to expertise in diverse electrical engineering skills across remote mining and refinery operations. Mathew holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Newcastle, obtained from 1999 to 2003.
