Jit Patel

Jit Patel currently serves as the Director of Risk at Macmillan Cancer Support, a position held since April 2023. Prior to this, Jit Patel was the National Director of Organisational Risk and Resilience as well as the National Director of Professional Services & Transformation at AHPRA from June 2016 to October 2022, where responsibilities included standardising operations and spearheading digital transformation initiatives. Jit Patel also held the position of Deputy Director - National Patient Safety at NHS England from June 2012 to June 2016, focusing on enhancing patient safety through the National Reporting and Learning System. Earlier roles included Transition Director at the National Patient Safety Agency, where Jit Patel managed the agency's closure strategy, and a Business Case Manager for the National Pandemic Influenza Preparedness Programme at the Department of Health. Jit Patel began a career in business planning at the Department of Health and Social Care. Education was attained at John Ruskin College.
