Head Of Risk, Governance And Assurance at Macmillan Cancer Support

Kym Smith Dip CII has a diverse and extensive work experience. They started their career in 2005 as an Assistant Manager at the Ministry of Justice UK. In 2006, they moved on to work at RBS as a Motor Insurance Team Lead. Later, in 2007, Kym joined Macmillan Cancer Support as an Insurance Advisor, where they supported the organization in developing and implementing a commercial insurance strategy. Over the years, their role at Macmillan evolved, and they took on positions such as Project Manager, Senior Risk & Compliance Lead, and currently, they serve as the Head of Risk, Governance, and Assurance. In their current role, they are responsible for designing and delivering the enterprise risk management framework, developing a risk culture, and presenting corporate risks to the Board and Trustees.

Kym Smith Dip CII completed a Bachelor's degree from University Centre Croydon between 2006 and 2009. They also obtained a Diploma in Insurance (Distinction) from the Chartered Insurance Institute in 2021.
