Yee Low has extensive work experience in the field of research and development for the telecommunications and optical communication systems industry. Yee started working as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Nokia Bell Labs in 1995 and held this role until 2017. During this time, Yee was responsible for defining integration research vision, delivering innovative packaging solutions, and managing cutting-edge R&D projects. Yee also led global teams in performing disruptive integration research for high-speed optical communication systems and drove research on high capacity and small form factor hybrid integration platforms. In 2017, Yee transitioned to the role of Department Head, Advanced Device Integration Research at Nokia Bell Labs. As the department head, Yee continued to lead global teams in integration research and was responsible for managing multi-disciplinary projects. In 2022, Yee joined MACOM as the Senior Director, R&D LightWave Business. In this role, Yee leads the Silicon Photonics team on IM-DD/Coherent transceiver PIC design and New Product Development. Yee is in charge of driver/TIA + laser/PD reference design developments, packaging, assembly, and testing for telecom/datacom and RF over Fiber applications. Yee Low earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville from 1991 to 1995. Later, from 1999 to 2001, Yee Low pursued a Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering at Columbia University in the City of New York.
