Kevin Chandler

VP, College Advancement & Community Relations at Macomb Community College

Kevin Chandler is the current VP of College Advancement & Community Relations at Macomb Community College. Kevin has held this position since July 2014. Prior to that, they were the associate director of Off Campus Programs at Wayne State University from September 2009 to July 2014. In that role, they were responsible for satellite development strategies, including a $4M expansion in Clinton Township, MI and a $12M expansion in Warren, MI. Kevin also deployed and supported Educational Outreach’s enrollment strategies throughout Macomb, St. Clair, and Wayne counties, increasing enrollment by ~23% in one year.

From November 2006 to September 2009, Chandler was the associate dean of Academic Affairs at ITT Technical Institute. In that role, they were responsible for the school’s academic and administrative functions. Kevin also hired, recruited, and developed 80+ faculty while supporting training and professional development. Additionally, they served as the ADA Compliance Officer for the college, continually increasing access for all students.

Kevin Chandler has a Doctor of Education from Oakland University in Organizational Leadership, a Master of Public Administration from Northern Michigan University in Public Administration/ Broadcast Journalism, and a Bachelor of Science from Northern Michigan University in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication. Kevin also has certification from Google in The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing, HubSpot Academy in Digital Marketing, Michigan Environmental Education Curriculum Support in Certified in Water Quality, and Oakland University in Post-Masters Certification in Higher Education.
