Bill Shui

Bill Shui is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data governance, management, and advanced analytics, currently serving as Reference Data Lead at Macquarie Group since July 2022. Previously, Bill held various roles at Commonwealth Bank, including Product Owner for Data Governance and Senior Manager positions within data management and analytics strategy. Bill's career at Telstra spanned from 2011 to 2017 and included leadership roles in business and technology advisory, digital analytics, and big data enhancements. With a foundation in research at NICTA and team leadership in both engineering and product development in earlier positions, Bill has a strong background in the integration of technology and data-driven solutions. Education credentials include a PhD in Computer Science & Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Bioinformatics from UNSW, complemented by studies in bioinformatics, computer science, and biochemistry at the University of Sydney.
