Biola Babawale

Biola Babawale, CFA, is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in emerging markets. Currently serving as VP - Emerging Markets Sovereign Strategist at Macquarie Group since November 2022, Biola focuses on fixed income research and strategy related to sovereign credit, rates, and currencies across key Asian markets. As the Founder and CEO of Cycle Together since August 2021, Biola champions inclusivity in cycling for underrepresented groups. Prior roles include Sovereign Strategist at UBP, where Biola developed a sustainable sovereign investment process, and Sovereign Credit Analyst at Vanguard Europe, covering various emerging and frontier markets. Biola is also recognized for leadership as Chair of Velociposse, enhancing diversity within cycling. Biola holds an MSc in Economic Policy from UCL and a BSc in Economics from the University of Warwick, complemented by studies at Sciences Po.
