Babak Azizzadeh, MD, FACS

Babak Azizzadeh, MD, FACS has extensive work experience in the field of facial plastic surgery. In 2003, they founded the CENTER for Advanced Facial Plastic Surgery in Beverly Hills, where they serve as the director and lead facial plastic surgeon. Dr. Azizzadeh specializes in advanced non-invasive and surgical procedures such as deep plane facelifts, facial paralysis reconstruction, blepharoplasty, and rhinoplasty. Babak has also been a facial plastic surgeon at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center since 2003 and has co-directed their Annual Plastic Surgery Symposium since 2005. In addition, Dr. Azizzadeh is an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at UCLA Health, where they teach facial plastic surgery to medical students, residents, and fellows since 2003. Babak is actively involved in the field as the Western Regional Director, Member of the Board of Directors, and Fellowship Co-Director for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Babak also serves as the President and Executive Board Member of the Sir Charles Bell Society. Dr. Azizzadeh is a member of the Board of Directors for the California Society of Facial Plastic Surgery and hosts the Smile Podcast. Babak established the Facial Paralysis Institute in Beverly Hills in 2006, where they serve as the director and leads a team of specialists in the management and treatment of various conditions related to facial paralysis. Additionally, they are part of the Strategic Advisory Board for NeuroTrigger. Overall, Dr. Babak Azizzadeh has a diverse and accomplished career in facial plastic surgery, teaching, and leadership roles in multiple organizations.

Babak Azizzadeh, MD, FACS has an extensive education history in the field of medicine and surgery. Babak obtained a B.S. degree in Microbiology & Molecular Genetics from UCLA in 1992. Following this, they pursued a degree in Medicine and received an M.D. from UCLA in 1996.

Continuing their education, Azizzadeh attended the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA from 1996 to 1997, where they completed a degree in General Surgery. Babak then specialized in Head & Neck Surgery, studying at the same institution from 1997 to 2002.

Desiring further expertise in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Azizzadeh enrolled at Harvard Medical School in 2002, where they focused on this highly specialized field of study until 2003.

In addition to their education, Azizzadeh has obtained multiple certifications. Babak is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, having obtained this certification in August 2020. Babak is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery.
