President, CEO & Co-Founder at Macrometa

Chetan Venkatesh is the President, CEO, and Co-Founder of Macrometa. Chetan has over 17 years of experience in the technology industry and has held various leadership positions in companies such as Atlantis Computing and Macrometa Corp.

Venkatesh founded Atlantis Computing in 2004 and served as its President and CEO until 2017. During their tenure, they led the development of the company's initial product, ILIO, which was adopted by major global banks and government organizations. In 2013, Atlantis released USX, the first full-fledged software-defined storage platform. USX saw strong adoption among large multinational customers across the United States and Europe.

Under Venkatesh's leadership, Atlantis raised approximately $50M in venture capital and debt financing from Adam St Partners, Partech Ventures, El Dorado Ventures, and Cisco. The company had 900 active mid to large enterprise customers before it was acquired by Hive IO in 2017.

Venkatesh has been with Macrometa since 2018 and has led the company to become a leading edge Data-as-a-Service platform provider. Chetan holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

Chetan Venkatesh completed a Bachelor of Science - BS Twin Degree in Computer Science from I.N.T. Chetan also has a BS in Computer Science from State University of New York - System.
