Betty Tierney

Betty Tierney is the Vice President and Associate General Counsel of Litigation at Macy's, with over 31 years of experience in the retail industry. Betty has actively litigated a wide range of cases across the United States, specializing in employment litigation while also handling class actions, consumer credit, ADA, and ERISA-related cases. For the past 11 years, Betty has led an in-house trial team, successfully preparing attorneys and paralegals for first chair roles in litigation. Additionally, Betty has consistently met budget expectations while fostering a collaborative and diverse legal team. Betty earned a law degree from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law from 1987 to 1990.
