Carol Mitchell-Lawrence

Carol Mitchell-Lawrence, CPP, has over three decades of experience in HR technology and payroll, currently serving as Director of HR Technology/Payroll at Macy's since July 1989. In this role, Carol leads HCM Cloud projects, focusing on payroll requirements and the successful implementation of systems from PeopleSoft to HCM Cloud. Previous positions include Senior Payroll Manager II and Senior Payroll Manager, where Carol managed payroll system conversions, compliance for multi-state operations, and led teams through significant audits and system upgrades. Additionally, Carol has experience as a Payroll Manager and Payroll Supervisor, supervising teams and facilitating substantial payroll processing improvements. Carol is also a long-standing member of the American Payroll Association. Earlier career experience includes office management duties in a dental practice.
