Steve Wekar

Steve Wekar is a seasoned retail and law enforcement professional, currently serving as a Police Aide with both the Bergen County Police Department and the Bergen County Sheriff's Office since 2013 and 2015, respectively. Prior to these roles, Steve enjoyed a lengthy career in retail management, culminating in a position as Vice President/Regional Director of Stores at Stern's Department Stores from 1982 to 2001, where they oversaw 13 locations and managed significant sales volumes. Steve also held the role of Vice President and General Manager at Macy's since 1971. They began their retail journey at Gertz Department Stores, advancing through various managerial positions from 1971 to 1982. Steve earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing/Finance from the New York Institute of Technology-Old Westbury in 1971.
