Lawyer (employment, Safety And People) at Maddocks

Jess Mourney is a qualified lawyer with experience in employment, safety, and people law at Maddocks since March 2021. Currently serving as a secondee lawyer with the Department of Education, Jess is involved in the Survivor’s Inquiry Unit, addressing the Board of Inquiry into Historical Child Sexual Abuse in Beaumaris Primary School and other Government Schools. Previous roles include medico-legal report editor at Michelle Parsons Occupational Therapist Services and seasonal clerk positions at Norton Rose Fulbright, Transport Accident Commission, and Maddocks. Jess has also worked as a legal assistant at Victoria Legal Aid and held paralegal positions for various barristers at the Victorian Bar. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from Deakin University, alongside a Victorian Certificate of Education from Ruyton Girls’ School.
