Jean-Nicholas Lafortune, CPA, has a diverse work experience in finance, accounting, and consulting. Jean-Nicholas most recently served as the VP of Finance & General Manager of Canada for MADE BY GATHER starting in March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Finance Controller at MADE BY GATHER from November 2018 to February 2022.

Before joining MADE BY GATHER, Jean-Nicholas held roles at Reebok CCM Hockey, where they were the Senior Manager Tax & Internal Controls from March 2018 to November 2018, and the Senior Manager Accounting & Costing from November 2015 to March 2018. During their time at Reebok CCM Hockey, they played an integral part in the divestiture from Adidas, implemented standalone accounting, coordinated month-end procedures, managed financial information regarding standard costing, and oversaw relations with regulatory and internal audits.

Prior to their time at Reebok CCM Hockey, Jean-Nicholas worked as a Consultant at Jean-Nicholas Lafortune, CPA, CA from September 2014 to October 2018. Jean-Nicholas also served as the Director of Finance at RER Hydro Ltd. from April 2013 to August 2014, and as an Audit Manager and Senior in Charge at Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton from November 2012 to April 2013 and May 2006 to November 2012, respectively.

Jean-Nicholas Lafortune, CPA began their education in 1996 at École secondaire Sophie-Barat, where they obtained their Diplôme d'études secondaires (DES) in 2001. Jean-Nicholas then attended Collège de Bois-de-Boulogne from 2001 to 2003, studying Sciences humaines - Profil administration and earning a DEC. Following this, they enrolled at HEC Montréal and completed their Baccalauréat en administration des affaires in 2007. Later, in 2009, they pursued further education at HEC Montréal and obtained their DESS en comptabilité publique in 2010.
