Edana Harris has extensive experience in community engagement and event coordination, currently serving as a Volunteer Co-host for Made In Hackney Community Cookery School since April 2019. Previous roles include a year of travel in India focused on permaculture, yoga, and Buddhism, as well as a Junior Executive position at Yes to Life, where responsibilities encompassed social media management, event organization, design, fundraising, and administrative support. Edana has worked across various organizations, including Google, COW Events, Guildhall, and several others, honing skills in event management, customer service, and creative design. Made In Hackney offers free community classes for people most in need such as low-income families, children in care, teen carers, young people excluded from school, and people suffering from diet-related health problems, and paid for Masterclasses, through its Program, privately, and through Corporate organizations, to support the funding of itscommunity work. It teaches vital food growing, cooking, and composting skills.
