Mauro Strumendo

Mauro Strumendo is an experienced professional with a diverse background in culinary arts and architectural technology. Currently serving as a Cooking Teacher at Made In Hackney since June 2023, Mauro specializes in plant-based cooking classes in East London. Simultaneously, Mauro has been a Cad Technician at Onnec since July 2019, contributing to the One Nine Elms Project by producing drawings and collaborating with the design team. A private chef since 2012, Mauro has developed a niche catering to yoga and retreat events. Previous roles include plant-based chef at Suryalila Retreat Centre, volunteer staff at Vervet Monkey Foundation, and various architectural technician positions at companies including Mount Anvil and Veroniki Real Estate. Mauro holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Food & Consumer Science from Abertay University, alongside qualifications in building surveying.
