Melek Erdal

Melek Erdal is an experienced professional with a strong background in community engagement and social impact. Currently serving as part of the Inclusive Knowledge Economy team at Islington Council since May 2021, Melek also acts as an Ambassador and Volunteer for The Felix Project, a charitable organization dedicated to alleviating food waste and supporting local communities. As a Community Class Teacher at Made In Hackney Community Cookery School since June 2015, Melek promotes healthy eating and community connections through plant-based cooking classes. Previous roles include Engagement and Welfare Coordinator at FIRST RUNG LIMITED, where Melek facilitated pathways into education and employment for disadvantaged youth, and Project Manager & Producer for a community project under the Waltham Forest Council, aimed at empowering local filmmakers. Melek holds a Bachelor's degree in History from UCL.
