Senior Software Engineer - Frontend Developer at Made Tech

Rachel Hutchinson has had a diverse range of work experiences over the years. Rachel began their career at Abertay University, where they conducted a research project on "Could Augmented Reality be used in Urban Planning?" and received recognition for their work. From there, Rachel worked as a Sales Assistant at Bertie Browns and Halfords, where they gained customer service and retail experience.

In 2014, Rachel participated in the Host Broadcaster Training Initiative, where they served as a Vision Engineering Assistant for the Commonwealth Games. Rachel was responsible for ensuring the correct black levels and color balance for cameras covering rhythmic gymnastics.

Rachel then transitioned into the software development field, starting as an Analyst Developer at psHEALTH. There, they quickly took on responsibilities such as running customer support calls and hitting service level agreements. Rachel later became a Senior Technical Lead in Customer Success and Support at psKINETIC, managing a small team.

Currently, Rachel is working at Made Tech as a Senior Software Engineer - Frontend Developer. Rachel directly collaborates with public sector customers to deliver impactful solutions using technology.

Throughout their career, Rachel has consistently demonstrated strong skills in customer service, technical expertise, and leadership.

Rachel Hutchinson has a Master's Degree in Computer and Electronic Systems with International Study from the University of Strathclyde, which they obtained from 2011 to 2016. In 2014 to 2015, they participated in an exchange program at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, studying Computer Engineering. Prior to their university studies, Rachel attended Perth Academy from 2005 to 2011. Rachel also obtained their Driving License in July 2012.
