Sophie Wenban

Sophie Wenban has gained a diverse range of work experience in various positions. In 2023, they joined Made Tech as an Associate Software Engineer and also worked as an Academy Software Engineer. In 2022, Sophie participated in courses at Code First Girls, including Bug Fixing and Introduction to Python & Apps. Before that, they completed the AWS re/Start Program at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where they gained skills in IT fundamentals, AWS Cloud, and scripting in Python and Shell. Sophie also worked at Kingston University, holding roles as a Video Content Developer, Web & Multimedia Assistant Developer, and Interactive Digital Designer. In addition, they worked as a Videographer/Editor. Sophie had the opportunity to be a 3D Camera Assistant during the London Olympics in 2012 with OBS-Olympic Broadcasting Services. Lastly, they worked as a Tape Traffic Coordinator at Spafax from 2007 to 2009.

Sophie Wenban completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with first class Hons in Media Technology at Kingston University from 2009 to 2013. In 2008, they also achieved an ABC Level 3 Double Award in Film and Video Production from the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London. Sophie attended Salesian School Chertsey, but no information about their degree or field of study is available.

In terms of additional certifications, Sophie obtained the PRINCE2 Foundation certification from APMG-International in January 2016. Sophie also completed the Step into Digital Technologies program offered by City & Guilds in May 2021. Additionally, Sophie will complete the Java MOOC Sprint from Code First Girls in April 2023.
