James Kane

James Kane is an experienced real estate professional with significant expertise in multifamily acquisitions and asset management. Currently serving as a Partner at Madera Residential since June 2024, James is involved in Southeastern acquisitions. Previously, as Managing Director at Starwood Capital Group from October 2004 to December 2023, James led asset management for a national multifamily portfolio of over 85,000 units, successfully disposing of over $12 billion in multifamily assets and acquiring 1,000 units valued at $70 million. James also held key positions as Senior Vice President at Jones Lang LaSalle and Associate at Scientific Atlanta, A Cisco Company. James earned an MBA in Real Estate from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a BBA in Finance from the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business.
